Frequently asked questions
Who can take part?
Undergraduate and master's students. You can also take part if you graduated in the last three years, as long as at least half of your club is still at university.
Do we all need to be from the same university?
No. There are clubs of friends from halls of residence or from different universities. And a university can have more than one club.
How many of us do we need to be?
Five at least. Below five, a minimum club registration fee of €600 applies.
Is there a minimum amount to invest?
It depends on your country: the minimum to open the brokerage account is $50 from Spain and $200 from most other countries. That money is yours and stays in your account; the only thing you pay us is the registration fee. You can add funds during the competition by letting us know at info@theinvestmentleague.com.
How is the return calculated?
We connect the accounts to our platform and calculate the percentage gain or loss on each account's capital. Your club's return is the average of its members.
Is there a minimum number of trades?
Yes, set by the rules. We want clubs to stay active all year: analysing companies and investing in the ones you find most interesting is what a club is for.
Who gets the 50% discount?
New clubs from outside Spain. It's our launch offer to start our international adventure: €59 per member for the whole season, or €5.90 per month.
